What is a Faux Financial Planner?

In the world of financial planning, it can be easy to be charmed by the big, beautiful picture of a comfortable retirement plan that will allow you to do everything you dreamed of in your golden years.

Though that is exactly what all planners hope for each of their clients, there is so much more to crafting a unique financial plan than simply buying the right investment products.

Many “planning companies” focus too much on pushing products versus providing a service. We call this faux financial planning.
